Celebrate The Queen Of Your Family With A Tea Party!

There are flowers, chocolates, coffee mugs and even spa days. But, this Mother’s Day, why not stray from the normal gift-giving routine and create an experience that mom will love? A beautiful tea party, complete with savory scones and sweet cake, will make mom feel loved and appreciated (as long as you clean up the kitchen, too!), while also creating some perfect memories around the table.

Baked bee cakes with tea

Creating the perfect tea party starts with some traditional recipes that you can follow directly or make all your own. Scones, cake bites and tea sandwiches are must-haves, but they don’t have to be boring. Pick some of Mom’s favorite things, or make an array of seasonal goodies to create a tea party that’s just as perfect as your mom is.

Start with making those scones and clotted cream! The Scottish Mini Scone Pan allows you to make up to 16 at a time, which is great for customizing or make full-sized scones with jam. You can do some sweet options (chocolate chip or cranberry/orange, to name a few!) and some savory scones (cheddar and chive is never a bad idea!) all in the same batch. Make it even more fun and have a build your own scone bar! Allow mom and guests to each make their own favorite scone, bake and voila! Eat fresh or wrap up and give as sweet reminders of a special afternoon.

Baked Cakeletes and strawberries

Tea cakes are also a staple at any tea party. While you can use a cupcake pan to make mini tea cakes, there are so many other easy ways to spice up the choices on your dessert stand or elegant serving tray. Go with a Spring theme and use the Busy Bee Bitelet Pan for treats that are sure to delight the Queen Bee herself. Surprise and delight those gathered with some tea cakes that break the mold. The  Strawberry Bitelet Pan creates 3-D strawberries for an added “wow” factor. Grab strawberry or red velvet flavored cake to make the base pink; add strawberries to the batter for a marbled look; or let everyone dip in icing and strawberry sauce for a hands-on experience.

Add an upscale flair to the tea party by creating charming mini Bundt pans with the Bundt Charms Pan. Use your piping skills to bring these adorable cakelets to life or keep things simple and elegant with some powdered sugar or an easy glaze. Don’t want to stick with just cake? Use these to make miniature brownies, candies, or colorful Jell-O shapes.

Looking for a beautiful centerpiece for the table, combined with a decadent finish? Look no further than the  Blossom Bundt Pan or the Rose Bundt Pan. No Mother’s Day is complete without flowers and these pans give Mom a beautiful bloom that can also satisfy her sweet tooth. Dust with powdered sugar, drizzle with glaze or get even more intricate with icing if your heart desires. Or, you can finish with some fresh cut blooms in the center for a truly show stopping centerpiece.
