Ingredients
- Salmon fillet (around 2 lbs)
- Lemons
- Salt and Pepper
Glaze (Optional)
- 1 Tablespoon Soy Sauce
- 1 Tablespoon Honey
- 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
- 2 cloves garlic (grated or finely minced)
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Directions
Prep Your grill. If using charcoal, fill one half of the grill with hot coals, leaving a hot side and a cool side. You want your grill to be roughly 400°F.
Pat salmon dry on both sides with a paper towel. Oil your salmon, season well with salt and pepper and any additional dry seasonings of choice.
Mix your glaze ingredients (if using) in a small bowl.
Place the empty fish griller on the hot side of the grill to get hot. Once hot, place the salmon skin side down. You can also add lemon halves or other citrus, face side down. Let sear for 1-2 minutes, before moving the basket with tongs to the cooler side and closing the lid. Cooking for around 10 minutes or until the salmon is starting to flake, or reach an internal temperature of 145°F. If using a glaze brush on in the final 3 minutes of cooking to prevent burning.
Allow to rest for 5 minutes before serving.
