These Cheddar Chive Petite Popovers are light, airy, and packed with savory flavor. Made with sharp cheddar cheese, fresh chives, and simple pantry ingredients, these bite-sized popovers bake up golden brown with crisp exteriors and tender, fluffy centers. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, holiday gatherings, soup and salad pairings, or entertaining, this easy popover recipe comes together quickly in the Petite Popover Pan. Whether served warm with butter or alongside your favorite meal, these mini cheese popovers are a crowd-pleasing addition to any table.
Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 3 Tbsp butter melted (plus extra for greasing the pan)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour (bread flour also works very well here)
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/4 cup chives
- 1/4 cup cheddar grated
Directions
Preheat oven to 425°F. Generously grease the Petite Popover Pan with melted butter or baking spray and set aside.
In a blender, combine the eggs, milk, melted butter, and flour. Blend until the batter is smooth and fully combined. Add the cheddar cheese and chives, then pulse a few times until evenly incorporated.
Fill each cavity of the prepared pan about two-thirds full with batter. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the popovers are puffed and golden brown. Avoid opening the oven door during baking, as this can cause the popovers to collapse.
Carefully remove the pan from the oven and serve warm.
