PRINT RECIPE

This homemade rosemary popover recipe makes perfect light, airy and fluffy popovers that are quick and easy to make. Made in our Grand Popover Pan as well can be made in our Petite Popover Pan as an alternative. Serve with sweet honey butter or your favorite jam for a tasty brunch or add to your Easter menu!

Ingredients

  • Softened butter for pan
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 Tbsp melted butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp minced rosemary
  • 1/2 tsp table salt
  • Serving Options:
  • Honey Butter:
  • 1/2 stick of butter (4 Tbsp.), softened
  • 1/2 Tbsp. honey
  • Jam: blueberry, blackberry or strawberry

Directions

Place oven rack in lower third of oven and preheat oven to 375°F. Butter cavities of popover pan with softened butter. Whisk eggs, milk and water in a large bowl. Add melted butter in a stream while whisking. Add flour, rosemary and salt and whisk until smooth. Divide batter evenly in cavities. Bake in lower third of oven until golden brown, 45-50 minutes. Do not open oven until done. Remove from oven. If desired, use a paring knife to make a slit in each popover to release steam. Serve warm with Honey Butter or jam of choice. Yields 6 Grand Popovers or 12 Petite Popovers.

This recipe is amazing! Even easier made in the blender, simply blend all ingredients, minus rosemary, which should be added after blending. I literally just bought another popover pan, because in my family of 5, everyone was fighting over the last one.

Love this recipe! I use the petite pan. Always light and delicious, always comes out easily with no sticking (and WW points friendly). Made a few alterations: used avocado oil to lightly grease the pan; melted 1 tbsp Earth Balance spread with olive oil instead of stick butter; used 1+ tsp of dried rosemary (or chive with 2 tbsp 4c home style 3-cheese grated cheese). Add more herbs if using fresh. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, snack, pasta meal or with salad. Enjoy!!
