Care:
1. Before initial use and after subsequent uses, hand wash with warm, soapy water.
2. Dishwasher use is not recommended, as it may shorten the life of the nonstick coating.
3. Metal utensils, scouring pads and abrasive cleaners should not be used on nonstick surfaces. Nylon or silicone utensils are recommended.
4. Wrapping the drip pan in aluminum foil is recommended for easy cleanup.

Safety Tips:
1. Exhaust fan (with direct outside access) must be turned on when using smoker. Opening a window is recommended to improve kitchen ventilation. If kitchen becomes smoky, turn off stove, open windows and leave area until smoke clears, just as you would anytime smoke and odor fill the room.
2. The smoker gets very hot when in use. Handle with care, using an oven mitt, as you would with any hot cookware.
3. Do not cook on high heat (recommended smoking temperature is 190°- 210° F, adjust burner as needed)
4. Do not leave the smoker unattended while in use.
5. Dispose of spent chips by first soaking for 1 minute in water to assure they are completely extinguished.
6. Do not put wood chips directly in the food as they are not meant for human consumption.
7. Birds and other pets with sensitive respiratory systems should not be in kitchen when smoking food.

I must say I love this product, I have owned mine now for at least 12yrs and still going strong. I would like to of been able to expand the top with an expansion ring??
I live in Thailand now so unless there’s a ring made in Asia I doubt if it would even be possible to obtain one?? But still very happy with the product

First time to use a stove top smoker. I’ve only made pork chops so far, so will add to a review later. A bit hard to clean even though I used aluminum foil as suggested.

We love our kettle smoker. Our old upright traditional smoker had been on its way out for some time. Did a search for a small smoker and Nordic Ware came up. We love it and use it a lot. I place it on an outside propane burner and add more chips than instructions suggest. I also add some of my own larger ones than the powdery offerings. I also got the extender but haven’t had the opportunity to use it yet but it’s quite nice and offers an extra smoking shelf if needed. Nordic Ware has essentially redesigned the smoker with great success.

Absolutely love my big red smoker! Arrived with a defective thermostat but it was replaced with no hassle. Very little smoke escapes. Hamburgers taste as good as they would on an outdoor grill. The kitchen smelled delicious while food was cooking.

outstanding. Tender, moist, just the right amount of smoke… The meat fell off the bones.
I followed instructions and the smoking was seamless. Everyone should own one of these smokers. My home had the
irresistible aroma of Southern BBQ and I couldn’t be more
pleased. Clean up was a breeze too. I coated the smoker plate
with a light amount of oil. I covered the drip tray wth aluminum foil. I am very happy that this unit does not have non stick coating since I believe that non stick coating is unhealthy.

I bought this kettle smoker on July 31, 2024 and immediately wanted to try smoking fish. I did everything according to the instructions and the result was excellent. I was pleasantly surprised that there was no smoke in the kitchen. I recommend it to anyone who loves smoked food.

Amazing little smoker! Easy to use. Adds great flavor. I’m ordering the extender so I can fit a small turkey and rib racks!

So easy, effective and the results are always great. I find that it cooks twice as fast as a larger smoker. Get the extender.

So we’re from Texas and I just cooked a venison tenderloin with 3Tbsp total of 1Tbsp maple, 1 Tbsp apple and 1Tbsp cherry wood chips. We bought this second hand and lost the thermometer but inserted a digital instant read gague thermometer. The only downside is the cooker, due to black body radiation, gets up to heat slower. So if you’re aiming for 190F on medium heat you cut the heat to low at 170F. Venison turned out nice but be careful not to over cook your meat. Lastly, 3-4 Tbsp, NOT 2 Tbsp wood chips is optimal depending on the surface area of your meat cook.

Take a pass. The first one that I had for years was great. The one I just bought was not. They eliminated the non stick! A mess to clean now.

Very highly recommended as I posted a few moments ago! BTW, the vent over my stove doesn’t work, so I was expecting a smoky kitchen. But the only time I ever had a problem with a too-smoky kitchen was when I forgot to put the drip pan in. Grease dripped onto the hot wood and instantly filled my house up with thick smoke. That is *not* highly recommended… But the smoke smelled good and the ribs were delicious.

I looove this thing! I’ve had it for a few years and use it several times a year. Ribs, tandoori chicken, jerk pork, beef jerky have all been big hits with family and friends. Even a whole (small!) turkey for thanksgiving one year. If you always line the base and the drip pan with foil, then cleanup is super easy too. My *only* critique is that the smoking tray doesn’t have any way to grab onto it easily, so I end up having to slide a pair of knives into slots on the tray to use as handles, which is not ideal but works.

I tried leaving a detailed review a few weeks ago and it seems it never showed up. So here I am again, because I need to talk about this smoker. It literally smokes the competition away! I have tried a few other indoor and outdoor options and this Kettle smoker adds deep smoke flavor in a surprisingly quick time, yielding far better results than the Presto indoor smoker I used to have or smoke boxes you put chips into. I have made smoked barbacoa, Mac and Cheese, salsa, chicken, and so much I can’t remember it in just the few months I have had it. I love that you can use it indoors and outdoors, making it a viable option during our rainy falls and winters. Do yourselves a favor and buy the extender to give you more space to add goodies. It was the only way we could stick an entire pot of macaroni to smoke.

It doesn’t set off our smoke alarms either, though it does seem to contribute more of a smell to our kitchen for a little while. Still, it is worth it for the results, we now make food better than many restaurants we’ve been to

Covid has cut my entertaining to a flat zero, so I’ve been experimenting on myself. Pot roasts, chicken, pork chops, steaks, fish, all delicious, moist and done on time. Can’t wait until the lockdowns are lifted.

Easy to use, easy to clean, smells great while in use, food comes out well

I have an outdoor smoker too but it’s messy and it costs 10 dollars a time to fuel it when i use it. What I’ve found is when I use the outdoor smoker, the result is dry especially when I smoked brisket. On the other hand, when I use the Nordic Wear, the food is ready earlier (ribs in my case) and wasn’t dried out. I cannot wait to use it on brisket.

I do wish that I could make it a little more smokey but overall, the product was far better. I did add some bbq sauce to it and broiled it but within minutes of serving it, everyone had gobbled it down.

I also love the fact it’s so easy to clean relative to my outdoor unit.

I purchased this smoker about a month ago. I have only used it once to smoke some ribs but I can tell it’s going to be a staple in hodge podge of bbqing gadgets. It appears to be well made and sturdy and it fits perfectly on the side burner of my gas bbq. I did have a problem with the meat tray in the first unit but I contacted customer service and within 10 days they replaced the entire unit. No fuss, no muss with them. The new one works perfectly. I would recommend this smoker to anyone who is an individual or small family and looking to smoke just small amounts of food at a time. I will update this review after I have had a chance to use the smoker several times.

We absolutely love our indoor kettle smoker from Nordic Ware. All I had to do was crack a window a little bit and turn on my exhaust fan when dry smoking a whole chicken. The smoker does not create an obnoxious amount of smoke in your kitchen, it keeps it all inside and adds to the meat and you can smoke large pieces of meat in a short amount and give it a lot of smoke, unlike our outdoor stand up smoker that takes hours upon hours and you are not able to use it in the winter. The chicken turned out juicy, SO smoky and delicious, I can’t wait to use it again this weekend.

I’m experienced in using various types of commercial and homeowner smokers. All have their trade offs. Last night I made the most intensely smoked pork tenderloin of my life using the Nordicware Kettle Smoker. I used pellets and did a dry smoke for an hour. At home you must have a window and/or a door open and the device directly under the exhaust. I look forward to having more fun with this great new toy and enjoying the rewards of my hobby with family and friends. Only drawback is I have to find a wire rack to elevate the food off of the plate to allow entire food surface smoking and bark.

First time I’ve used it today and what a great smoker! I’m very pleased with it and I’m glad I bought it! I smoked brisket tonight and it was wonderful! Juicy and with just the right amount of smokey flavor. Surprisingly to me the smoke didn’t overpower my home nor did the smoke detectors go off-which shocked me since they are very sensitive. Clean up tip; when they say use foil in the drip pan; USE IT.. It is a booger to clean with all the hard burnt drippings in it. I did just drop a dishwasher pod in the pan with very hot water and let it soak, which was a huge help, but I still had to scrub. Next time I use foil! Do yourself a favor and buy it already!

We live in a condo and just recently bbq’s had been banned from the property …after years of enjoying outdoor grilling on my veranda. I was devastated but so happy I found this product! Do NOT hesitate to purchase this kettle smoker. My item arrived in perfect condition and yes indoor smoking was new to me. I have never used anything like this before – yet it is so easy to cook and smoke on! And yes the food comes out smoked and tasty just like at your favorite barbecue restaurant! LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Excellent for those who do not have access to a smoker. The ribs I’ve made have been delicious and I’m learning more each time I use it. Great product.

If you dont have access to a professional smoker this is the next best thing. You cant beat the convenience or the ease of use. Buy it, you wont be disappointed.

I purchased my 365 kettle smoker about 3 yrs ago and I absolutely love this product!! I use it almost every weekend to smoke ribs, pork steaks, or salmon. Would definitely recommend this product.
