1. Before initial use and after subsequent uses, hand wash with warm, soapy water.
2. Handle will become hot with extended use. Always use an oven mitt when handling.
3. Dishwasher use will discolor lid but will not affect cooking properties.

Had 2 smaller lids and wanted to give the larger ones a try. Makes steaming veggies a breeze and cooking other foods a lot simpler. Great product to have when using a griddle.
