The Easiest (And Coolest) Bundt® You’ll Ever Make- No Oven Required!
What started as a spring walk in Minnesota quickly turned into something…unexpected. After a fresh 10” snowfall (yes, spring in Minnesota), we noticed the snow was just right- soft, packable, and perfect for building a snowman. But naturally, our minds went somewhere else:
What if we made a snow Bundt® instead?
This might be our coolest Bundt® yet. No mixing. No baking. No dishes. No calories.
What You’ll Need
- Fresh, packable snow
- A Bundt® pan (we used our 80th Anniversary Laurel Wreath Bundt® Pan)
- Gloves
- Plate or cake stand
How to Make a Snow Bundt® Cake

Find the Right Snow
Not all snow is created equal. You’re looking for that perfect snowman-making texture: slightly wet, easy to pack, and able to hold its shape.
Pro tip: If you can make a snowball, you can make a Snow Bundt.
Pack Your Pan
Firmly press snow into your Bundt® pan, making sure to fill every detail (watch out for sticks and dirt!). This is where all those beautiful ridges and designs come to life. Pack it tight, just like you would with brown sugar in a baking recipe.
Pro-Tip: We found taking handfuls of snow and “throwing” it into the pan worked great.
Unmold
Flip your pan over onto a cake plate or stand. If conditions are right, you’ll have a perfectly shaped “cake” with all the classic Bundt® details intact. Find a place to display outside for your friends and neighbors to see.
Admire Your Work
Step back and appreciate your creation! It’s crisp, clean, and…no calories! The “perfect” cake.

Why It Works
Bundt® pans aren’t just for baking! They’re known for their intricate designs and ability to hold shape. Turns out, that works just as well with snow as it does with cake batter. And here in Minnesota, we get plenty of opportunities to test that theory.
A Very Minnesota Recipe
There’s something uniquely inspiring about a late-season snowfall. While most people are ready for spring, we’re still finding ways to make the most of winter, especially when it involves our favorite pans.
From ice luminarias to snow Bundts, sometimes the best ideas come from stepping outside (literally)!
