Excellent product. One egg, small amount of milk and cheese, 1 1/2 minute, and you have the perfect amount to fit on a breakfast muffin!

My husband used this and the eggs exploded all over the microwave (despite the lid). We've watched the video but still aren't sure what he did wrong. Too many eggs? The minimal instructions on the packaging don't say how many eggs you can put in.

Hello Gillian! Thank you for submitting your review. Here are some instructions for this product that will help solve your concerns:

You can do 1 or 2 eggs.
Popping/exploding Eggs can be cause by a couple of different things.
    1. The Eggs themselves - certain “dozens” seems to be prone.
    2. Reduce the cook time.
3 Break the cooking time into several segments. Cook for 3 30 second intervals instead of 1 and 1/2 minutes.
    4. Be sure that the Yolk has been “pierced”

“Hugh Jazz” truly is a Huge A__, what a dweeb.

Thanks, Monica.  I too have sustained pretty gruesome burns, but on my buttocks.  It appears that placing the cooked egg on one’s buttcheek is not safe…or, tasty.

please be careful with this product. I have one as well and have had it for about two years now. Loved it up until this past Saturday, August 29, 2015 when the egg that I cooked in it blew up in my mouth on the second bit of my sandwhich. I have some pretty gruesome burns on my lips. After doing research it appears that the eggs cooked in the microwave sometimes blow up after being removed from the heat.

Due to food allergies I have to bring most of my own food to camp. This worked like a charm & I had great food! I did oil the container each time and it helped.Hand wash!

I use my Egg n Muffin cooker every day at work. I have had many co-workers ask, what is that? When I explain and they see my finished result, they all want one and several have purchased, I LOVE my Nordicware Egg N Muffin cooker.
