Construction

This two-piece set includes two Nordic Ware Prism Eighth Sheet Pans made from pure, uncoated natural aluminum. The aluminum construction provides efficient heat conductivity for even baking and roasting, while the rust-resistant material is suited for everyday use. The embossed Prism surface adds structural strength to each compact pan without an applied nonstick coating.

Performance

Natural aluminum distributes heat across the baking surface to support even browning and consistent results. The Prism embossed grid promotes airflow around food, helping crisp cookies, roasted vegetables, fries, snacks, and other small portions. Use the pans for baking, roasting, reheating, or meal prep in compact and full-size cooking spaces.

Design

The Prism embossed grid creates a textured surface that reinforces the pan while encouraging air circulation beneath food. This functional pattern supports browning and crisping and gives each pan a distinctive textured finish. The raised surface also works well with parchment paper or silicone baking mats for easier food release.

Care Instructions

Oven safe up to 500 F (260 C). Hand wash recommended. For easier food release, use parchment paper, a silicone baking mat, or traditional butter or shortening and flour methods. Metal utensils and scouring pads may scratch natural aluminum but will not affect baking performance.

1. Before initial use and after subsequent uses, hand wash with warm, soapy water.
2. Dishwasher use is not advised, as discoloration will occur due to the cleaning agents used in automatic dishwasher detergent. This discoloration is merely cosmetic and will not affect baking properties or safety of the pan.
3. Natural aluminum pans work well with parchment paper, silicone baking mats, and also traditional butter or shortening and flour methods. When roasting savory foods such as vegetables, butter or cooking oil work well.
4. Nylon, wood, or silicone utensils are recommended. Metal utensils and scouring pads may scratch natural aluminum pans, but will not affect baking performance.
5. Aluminum is reactive to acidic ingredients such as vinegar and tomato products. These foods may darken, pit or corrode the pan after prolonged use.
