Use & Care

1. Before initial use and after subsequent uses, hand wash with warm, soapy water.
2. Dishwasher use is not advised, as discoloration will occur due to the cleaning agents used in automatic dishwasher detergent. This discoloration is merely cosmetic and will not affect baking properties or safety of the pan.
3. Natural aluminum pans work well with parchment paper, silicone baking mats, and also traditional butter or shortening and flour methods. When roasting savory foods such as vegetables, butter or cooking oil work well.
4. Nylon, wood, or silicone utensils are recommended. Metal utensils and scouring pads may scratch natural aluminum pans, but will not affect baking performance.
5. Aluminum is reactive to acidic ingredients such as vinegar and tomato products. These foods may darken, pit or corrode the pan after prolonged use.

    I have had two of the 9×13 pans with lids for easily 20 years and I love them. They’re my go-to pans for sheet cakes, scotcharoos, brownies, etc. I love having the lids to seal in the freshness, and they bake evenly.

    The cakepan was exactly as described on website. The lid fits as it should, and it cleans easily after use. I recommend the cake pan and lid.

    This is a great pan. I’m not using things with non-stick coating anymore. This is a high quality pan and the convenient lid makes it even better.

    We have been looking to replace our old baking pans for sometime. The Naturals bakeware is exactly what we were looking for. Being made in the USA was our first requirement and being made of quality material was our next. These pans are great choice if your are looking to replace your worn out bakeware.

    I have not used this product yet but it is well made, sturdy and you can tell it will last a long time. Can’t wait to use it!

    I ordered 3 9×13 pans – one for me and two for gifts. I’d read an article, not from Nordic, that its pans were the best so….thus, the order. I have other 9×13 pans, all of which have been used for ions; however, they are rusty and an embarrassment to use “in front’ of others! I’ve learned and will never let water sit in my new pan or put it in the dishwasher. It is an inconvenience that my Nordic pan scratches so easily – gently used a dull knife merely to cut squares and there are now marks. Not sure how to cut something without using a knife?? I plan on order other Nordic bakeware despite my concern. The “lip” on the pan makes it appear smaller than a 9×13 but I measured it against an older pan without a “lip” and they are the same size.

    Excited to try my new set and hope that it lasts as long as it seems like it will. Very durable material and looks like it will stand up to use and abuse.

    I ordered this pan as a replacement for another 9×13 pan. I haven’t had a chance to use it, but it looks like it is a quality made cake pan. I love the fact that it also has a well made cover.

    It’s hard to find a basic aluminum pan like this that does not have a coating or dark color. It’s critical for baking baklava and other goods that are sensitive to browning before baking is complete. Any serious baker needs a pan like this. The cover is useful to avoid wasting plastic wrap or aluminum foil as covers.

    A 9×13 pan is pretty much in constant use in my kitchen; and this pan is so sturdy and well made. The only thing I have found to be an issue is that cakes seemed to cook more slowly. I contacted customer service and they recommended raising the oven heat by 25 degrees. That solves the problem.

    I bought one of these pans at an upscale kitchen and cook’s store. Well, long story short, the lid was irreparably damaged. I had to find a way to replace this pan and lid, period. The sturdy pan bakes evenly and the convenience of transport with the lid made it a necessity. I bake a lot, and have other pans with lids. But the coating eventually wears away on the other pans (and they don’t bake evenly). I love this pan; it is a must-have for any baker….so now I own two since purchasing from the Nordic Ware website directly. This is the best cake baking pan EVER!
