What are large sheet pans best for?
Large baking sheets are ideal for batch baking, roasting big portions of vegetables, cooking family-sized sheet pan dinners, or prepping multiple servings at once. Their extra-wide surface helps reduce the number of pans needed, which makes them especially useful for holiday baking or meal prepping.
How big are Nordic Ware big sheet pans?
Our large pans measure approximately 21 by 15 inches with a 1-inch rim. That gives you significantly more space than a standard half sheet. The added surface area helps spread ingredients out for better browning and more even cooking, especially when roasting or baking at high volume.
Do these oversized pans fit in all ovens?
Because of their size, it’s important to measure your oven before buying. Most standard home ovens can accommodate big sheet pans, but some smaller or European-style models may not. Be sure to allow room not just for the pan, but also for airflow around it.
Are Nordic Ware’s large pans nonstick?
Several of our big baking trays are available in nonstick options, including models from the Brilliant Bakeware and Naturals® Nonstick collections. These pans feature a smooth, PFAS-free coating that makes food release and cleanup easy. We also offer uncoated versions made from natural aluminum for those who prefer a more traditional surface.
Will these extra-large pans warp at high heat?
All of our large pans are made with thick aluminum and feature reinforced rims that help prevent twisting or warping. Whether you’re roasting at 425°F or baking multiple cookie batches, the pans stay steady and reliable in the oven.
Can I put these large baking sheets in the dishwasher?
To preserve the pan’s finish and performance, we recommend hand washing. Dishwashers can lead to discoloration or reduce the life of the nonstick coating. Warm water, a soft sponge, and mild soap are all you need to clean up after use.
