Almond Butter Leaves

  • Ingredients
    • 1/ 4 cup butter, softened
    • 3/ 4 cup flour
    • 1/ 4 cup granulated sugar
    • 1/ 2 teaspoon baking powder
    • 1/ 4 cup confectioners sugar
    • pinch of salt
    • 1 egg
    • 1/ 4 teaspoon vanilla
    • 1/ 4 cup slivered almonds, finely chopped
    • 1/ 4 teaspoon almond extract
  • Directions
    • Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour pan. In medium bowl, combine all ingredients. Blend on low speed 1 minute, scraping bowl often. Beat on medium speed 2 minutes. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake 20-22 minutes, until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan 5 minutes; turn out onto cooling rack and cool completely. 
    • Makes 6 leaves.
