Use & Care

1. Before initial use and after subsequent uses, hand wash with warm, soapy water.
2. Dishwasher use is not advised, as discoloration will occur due to the cleaning agents used in automatic dishwasher detergent. This discoloration is merely cosmetic and will not affect baking properties or safety of the pan.
3. Natural aluminum pans work well with parchment paper, silicone baking mats, and also traditional butter or shortening and flour methods. When roasting savory foods such as vegetables, butter or cooking oil work well.
4. Nylon, wood, or silicone utensils are recommended. Metal utensils and scouring pads may scratch natural aluminum pans, but will not affect baking performance.
5. Aluminum is reactive to acidic ingredients such as vinegar and tomato products. These foods may darken, pit or corrode the pan after prolonged use.

    I never seriously considered that cake pans could make such a serious difference in baking results, but my mind is changed. I’ve been a serious baker for a very long time and have baked over 500 cakes in the last decade. I’ve lived with the problem of domed cakes and routinely crowned the tops on just about every cake to come out of my oven. It was not only a waste of cake, but a pain since it made every cake unnecessarily complicated. I finally conceded defeat and bought these Nordicware 8″ cake pans in a desperate attempt to overcome the doming issue. Well, will miracles never cease? These pans have all but eliminated doming and I am most grateful. I attribute the change to the 2 1/2 inch sides of the pans and that the additional height somehow allows for less rise in the middle of the pans. So, you’ve got my hearty endorsement of the 8″ pans with the 2 1/2 inch sides. They simply work better and that’s a fact.

    Nordic Ware pans–always the best. Heat distribution, careful construction with the proper materials: yields a beautiful rise and scrumptious results every time. Reasonably priced, delivery on time or early, no need to reward some mammoth retail middle-man company, order direct from the maker, adds zero hassle and, in fact, can cost less in the end. Wouldn’t bake with any other brand–Nordic Ware for the win every time & these Naturals 8″ Round Layer Cake Pans were no exception.

    I have these pans in 4”,6”,8”,9”&10 for my home based cake hobby. They bake evenly and best of all flat,with no doming to have to cut off to create flat professional cakes

    The most important factor that the pan is made in USA, safe for food. My cake come out very much better and much moisture as specially when making special receipt cheese cake. I trust the company.

    These cake pans are the only ones I use and I bake alot of cakes. I also have them in 9 inch. Cakes come out perfectly cooked every time.

    These 8-inch cake pans are the best I have ever used. My cake baked evenly, and the layers came out of the pans easily. They also are very easy to clean.
