Use:
1. Pour 1/4 cup water into steamer base. Place bite-sized vegetables on steaming rack and cover with lid, close the vent
2. Cook 3-5 minutes, or until tender (cooking times may vary depending on microwave used).

Care:
1. Before initial use and after subsequent uses, wash and dry thoroughly
2. Dishwasher safe.
3. Not safe for stovetop or oven use.
4. Sharp metal utensils may scratch bowls and are not recommended.

It’s great for the vegetables- I even cook jalapenos, which can be a safety concern because of the capsaicin That’s released- but this has not been a problem for me. Sometimes I’ll only steam them for a few minutes as a pre-cook to putting in oven to roast. I don’t put oils, salt & pepper or other condiments until after cooking- this allows me to self-clean the steamer since You’re getting a free steam cleaning. Just remove the water and shake or wipe.

This steamer does exactly what it’s supposed to do. It’s well made, steamer lid works, and I like the red color and the sturdiness of the product.

Too big!!! Would be perfect if it was half this size!!!

I purchased this steamer in November 2022 to replace a Nordic Wear steamer I had for well over 20 years. So, I’ve used it a long time now. The steamer works well, but I always have to use a large rubber band to keep the top from popping off.
There are two problems. First, the lip around the edge of the bottom container is far too small to hold the lid on. There’s not enough surface area to grip the top.
Second, the sides of the steamer are bowed inward and do not line up and fit the top. Of course, I don’t know if mine is defective or if they are all like this. I do not think the top would stay on even if the sides fit the top, the lip is just too shallow to hold the top once there is some pressure from the steam.
This could be such a nice steamer if the top would stay on! I thought that over time, the plastic top & bottom would soften and eventually fit together, but they have not and we keep a rubberband on top of the microwave just for the steamer.
Please redesign this steamer so the lid stays on and I’ll certainly buy one!!

Lid needs a tab of some sort to make it easier and safer to remove.

This steam cooker works very well Veggies are crisp and perfectly done. Large enough for a variety of veggies. Great Buy.

Indispensible. I use this steamer all the time. I do not miss pulling out my 51 yr old steamer when this one is so much better. Cleanup is easier too.
