Both pans are made from formed aluminum for efficient, even heating across the cooking surface. All three pieces are oven safe, allowing you to move covered dishes from stovetop to oven without transferring food. The basalt colored exteriors and speckled interiors bring the distinctive look of the Basalt Cookware line to everyday cooking.

Nonstick Performance

Both pans feature a Swiss made 3 layer ceramic nonstick interior coating that promotes easy food release and supports low oil cooking. The smooth surfaces help reduce sticking during everyday cooking and make cleanup easier after meals. The skillet is well suited for searing and sauteing, while the sauce pan handles a variety of simmering and reheating tasks.

Size and Versatility

The 8 inch saute skillet is well suited for individual portions, eggs, quick sauces, and smaller meals. For best results, hand wash the pans with warm, soapy water and use silicone, nylon, or wooden utensils to help protect the ceramic nonstick surfaces. Hand wash with warm, soapy water. Scouring pads and abrasive cleaners should not be used on nonstick surfaces.
We recommend silicone, nylon and wooden utensils for use with this pan to protect the nonstick surface. Metal utensils can damage the nonstick.
Dishwasher use is not recommended, as it will diminish the release properties of the nonstick coating with time.
Use moderate heat to obtain the most effective heating properties. Excessive heat can be damaging to the pan and stovetop.
Never allow cookware to boil dry or leave an empty pan on a hot burner unattended. Pan is for stovetop and oven use.
Always use adequate ventilation when cooking.
While not necessary, cooking with butter or oil will improve performance and taste of food.
