Use & Care

Use:

  1. Place strips of bacon on the bacon tray, ensuring they do not overlap.
  2. Place in microwave and cook on high for one minute per piece of bacon. Cook at additional 30 second intervals until bacon is completely cooked. Cooking times can vary due to microwave used.

Care:

  1. Before initial use and after subsequent uses, hand wash with warm, soapy water.
  2. Do not use under the broiler or on stove-top burners.
  3. Dishwasher use is not recommended as it may discolor or warp the product.
  4. Oven safe to 400°F

    This is just the right size for the 2 of us to cook bacon in the morning. I like that it has the cut out area to drain the grease. Easy to clean. It’s made in USA, is a plus.

    I was a little disappointed in the size, particularly the depth.
    My original bacon tray was deeper, the sides had a larger moat area. This new one is working okay but I wish it had been closer to my previous product.

    Oldie, but goodie! I am pretty certain I’ve had this rack for 14 years or more. Still works great! Ordering another as a ‘spare’. ‘One is none’, you know.

    Works great, easy clean up, cooks bacon nice and evenly. The round shape is more microwave friendly than a rectangular one would be. Has a little spout/opening on the lip to make pouring the grease out easier.

    The replacement 2 sided Bacon/meat grill is working well so far, Ive only used it about 4x per week for bacon in my microwave and have owned it about a month now. So far no cracks! It cooks evenly and is easy to clean with dish soap and dish sponge.Thank you!

    I love the OVAL diameter and size of this bacon rack, fits perfect for my splatter cover! Its durable, great for work, home and on vacation. It is durable and love the dual sides.

    I ordering a new one. I have used the one I have for twenty years. I was so happy to see that it has not been discontinued. It is beyond great!

    I purchased this 2 sided bacon and meat grill pan last October 22, 2019. It has not performed as well as I thought it should. I have followed the manufacturer instructions for both using it the microwave and also cleaning. It is very hard to clean and has discoloured and stained. It has some small pits in the surface of the tray. I would not buy this item again.

    If you like quality and affordability, Nordic Ware products are the ones for you. I bought several new microwave items: bacon/meat tray, egg poacher, and 4 plates. They are all high quality and will last for a long time. How do I know? I bought them to replace the older Nordic Ware that I have used daily for the past 10 years. I am still using the 4 plates I had already. I needed to replace a set of other microwave plates that were not Nordic Ware after just 6 months. Happy shopping. You won’t be disappointed.

    I have two of these. I bought one from a garage sale 4 years ago. The other my parents gave to me when we moved and they had it since at least 1996. The durability on this product is amazing. I use it to thaw meat in the fridge or microwave; after frying bacon or sausage; to keep things warm in the oven while cooking. Such a versatile product that lasts way beyond the 5 year warranty.

    This is the 3rd one i’ve purchased. It’s hard to find a round bacon pan, which is needed to use in a microwave. The only reason this is the 3rd one I’ve owned is cuz my bf took my first one, and I forget to take the 2nd one out of my broken microwave. Otherwise, it lasts forever and cleans very easily. Love this product.

    I’ve had these products for years and love the brand. Use them all the time love the bacon tray especially. Use it for many good items and the covered one is great too. The microwave cover is the best one I have yet to find.

    I bought this bacon grill and the deluxe cover for mostly cooking bacon in the microwave. It’s very convenient, works well, and has reduced my paper towel usage by 2/3 for bacon cooking. (Only use for paper towels now is blotting the cooked bacon to reduce residual grease.)?An additional benefit I hadn’t anticipated is that being able to see the bacon while it cooks makes it easier to get it just right — especially when changing brands or weights of bacon.

    This is great for bacon, and easy to wash up.

    The bacon side is nice because the Nordic Ware splatter lids fit, (and take the bacon pops without a problem) but I can only fit 2 slices without twisting them around…the grill side is OK for a frozen pizza – but it has to be a small one (those are hard to find in most stores around here) and the pizza cheese if it runs over sticks & can be hard to get off. (The one I have from 18 years ago has a non-stick coated [Teflon?] cook surface, but now they say not to use that at microwave temperatures.)
