Product Details
Superior Quality
Crafted from heavy-gauge aluminized steel, this Nordic Ware Pizza and Baking Steel delivers the kind of heat retention and conductivity that serious bakers depend on for brick oven-style results at home. The raw, uncoated aluminized steel surface concentrates and holds intense heat, transferring it directly and evenly into your crust for a crisp, golden brown finish that coated surfaces simply cannot replicate. This is professional-grade material trusted in commercial and home kitchens alike, built to perform every time you preheat and bake.
Exceptional Performance
The dense aluminized steel construction absorbs and distributes heat with remarkable uniformity, eliminating hot spots that cause uneven browning across your pizza, bread, or flatbread. Whether you are baking in a conventional oven, broiling, grilling, or using it as a stovetop griddle on gas electric or induction stovetops, this steel delivers consistent, reliable results across every application. Bakers who demand precision will appreciate how predictably this surface performs, even at temperatures up to 600 degrees Fahrenheit.
Lifetime Durability
The Pizza and Baking Steel is the kind of indispensable kitchen tool that earns a permanent place in professional and home kitchens alike, holding up to years of heavy, frequent use without compromise. With proper care, it develops a natural patina over time that only improves its character and speaks to a lifetime of dependable performance.
Sturdy Construction
The heavyweight aluminized steel construction provides exceptional rigidity and resistance to warping, even under the sustained high heat required for crisp, evenly baked crusts. The thickness and density of the material keep the surface flat and stable whether you are preheating on a grill, sliding it into a hot oven, or using it as a griddle over a cooktop burner. This reinforced build ensures that your baking steel stays true and performs reliably through years of demanding use.
Care Instructions
This pizza and baking steel is oven and grill safe to 600 degrees Fahrenheit, making it one of the most versatile and long-lasting tools in your kitchen. Hand washing with warm, soapy water is recommended to preserve the surface; avoid the dishwasher, metal scrubbers, and abrasive cleaners, and allow the steel to cool fully before cleaning.

Use & Care
USE INSTRUCTIONS
- This pan is heat safe to 600° F (315° C) and may be used in an oven, over a grill or on a stovetop. It is safe for broiling.
- Preheat baking steel in your oven or on grill top for a minimum of 5 minutes (ideally 8-10 min) prior to placing pizza or dough on top to ensure the steel is fully heated.
- Your baking steel can also be used on a stovetop as a griddle. If using in this way, preheat 2-3 minutes over medium heat and use cooking oil or butter prior to placing food onto pan.
CARE FOR YOUR PANS
- Baking steel will retain heat long after it is removed from the oven. Allow to fully cool before attempting to clean.
- Safe for use with nylon, wood, or silicone utensils and scrub brushes.
- Metal utensils and cleaning brushes will scratch the surface of your pan and are not recommended; however, scratches do not change the cooking properties or safety of your pans, which are made to last a lifetime.
- Natural aluminized steel pans will develop a patina with time and use; to brighten them up, try scrubbing with lemon juice, vinegar, cream of tartar or baking soda.
- Hand wash recommended with warm, soapy water.
- Dishwasher use not recommended as it may discolor your baking steel.
- Never immerse a hot baking steel into water. Allow to fully cool before cleaning.
