Use & Care

Use:
1. Place strips of bacon on the bacon tray, ensuring they do not overlap. Place lid on rack.
2. Place tray in microwave and cook on high 1 minute per piece of bacon. Cook at additional 30 second intervals until
bacon is completely cooked.

Care:
1. Before initial use and after subsequent uses, hand wash with warm, soapy water. Not recommended for dishwasher use.
2. Do not use on the stovetop. Base is oven safe to 400°F; lid is microwave only.
3. BPA and Melamine-free.
4. Foods such as tomato sauce or mustard may stain the surface of this product. This is merely cosmetic and will not affect cooking properties or safety.
5. Always use oven mitt when transferring a hot bacon pan from the microwave, as pan and lid will become very hot.
6. Use oven mitt when lifting lid from a hot pan, as steam may escape.

    As good as always. I’ve had a bacon tray for over a decade. It always cooks perfect bacon. Iuse it almost every day. Takes a little soaking and scouring to clean the ridges, but even unwashed, cooks a perfect, second batch of bacon. Not sure about the cover. Seems to trap too much moisture, but it saves paper towels.

    Way to small. I should have paid more attention to the dimensions!

    Perfect size for daily use; the lid is a game changer in keeping down grease splatter. I would give this 5 STARS except that our last tray cracked for no apparent reason (we hand wash as recommend) – item was under warranty and Nordic Ware did right by us! We love Nordic Ware!

    This is the best bacon cooker I have had. Put the bacon on a paper towel in the tray and you avoid scorching the tray–easier clean up.

    I love this product. Used my sister’s and quickly bought one for me and my cousin. I soak it immediately after using but it doesn’t get completely clean. Now I’m reading that I can spray it with Pam before using. Hope that helps.

    Great product! I use it frequently for cooking bacon but it works for most anything too!

    This is one of the best inventions ever! Have the older model for about 7 years and want to buy another in case anything happens to it! I save the bacon grease for other uses and then just pop it in the dishwasher and it’s ready for next time. My microwave stays clean and I have perfectly cooked straight bacon slices.

    I love this bacon cooker. But having trouble cleaning it and only have used it for cooking bacon.

    I was really excited about this Nodicware bacon rack since I’d been using Pyrex to microwave bacon. My nordicware rack cracked after one use. I am very disappointed and in disbelief.

    Lot better than using wads of paper towels in the micro wave. Bacon turns out perfectly.

    I thought we would love this dish but sadly it cracked on only its second use and will now leak if we try to use again. Very disappointing; I have never had an issue with any other Nordicware product.

    We bought two of these to replace the same thing we already had for MANY years, one of which while serviceable, was wearing out due to corner cracks. The new ones are the same thing but with a cover. We like the cover as it is cleaner than a messy paper towel cover. These are very well made and are all we use to cook bacon. They do a great job. They last and last if treated routinely well.

    No mess, no splatters. Great for warming leftovers. Hot dogs, etc..

    This product works exactly as expected. It is great having the cover. That way no spattering on the microwave. It is a very good design. Bacon comes out perfect.

    This is the second microwave bacon tray I’ve had from Nordic Ware. My first one was identical but didn’t come with the cover. Love the cover and ease of use and cleaning. Have had the first one for over 5 years and they last a very long time due to sturdy tray. The only reason I replaced mine was because we dropped it too many times on the hard kitchen floor and the edges got chipped. I do put the bottom tray in the top rack of dishwasher to wash even though it doesn’t recommend doing so.
