These plates have been my favorite non-breakable plates for years. I’ve tried others but these are the best for healthy microwaving and practicality. They are durable and look nice.

For the price, these plates are a great item – true they will not resist heavy cuts from a steak knife, but are still very handy

We got our picnic plates and bowls a few weeks ago and we love them! Don’t have to worry about them breaking and you can put them in the dishwasher!! Haven’t used the rice cooker yet, but we will. We have a steamer bowl that was given to us when we got married that we are still using. It is 40 years old and still working great! Would recommend these to everyone. I’d give it more than 5 stars if they had them.

We have nice Crate and Barrel porcelain dishes but we also have two young kids, so we want to avoid any chance they’ll break them. We picked up a four-pack of these Nordicware plates about six months ago, and they were so popular with everyone that we picked up another eight a couple weeks ago. The only thing they’re not ideal for is cutting up food on them, otherwise they’re great. They are light, microwavable, probably impossible to break, and sturdy at the same time. I would definitely recommend buying these.

Last November we had a big shaker in Anchorage (Mag 7.0) that cleared the shelves in my office kitchen. Nearly all of my ceramic dishes, glass-ware, and the like shattered. My (then) 8 year old Nordic Ware came thru in flying (literally) colors. I recently pondered replacing some of the broken ceramics and was gratified to see Nordic Ware still makes quality products here in the USA.

My plates and bowls are 9 years old now and they show the wear of knives, forks, spoons, and general average use. They have survived the bottom rack of the dishwasher, but I don’t use the heated dry cycle, so beware to follow their instructions. While I would not pull these out for a fancy dinner, they serve extremely well in my small office environment.

And they’re still made in the USA!!!

We bought these plates to replace our normal dishes because my partner is autistic and doesn’t like the sound of ceramic hitting each other. This has been a wonderful alternative and holds up well in both the microwave and dishwasher while still being completely safe to use! There is nothing else like it out there right now that doesn’t come in rainbow colors, so we were very happy to find NordicWare.

These plates are perfect when you need a plate that won’t break yet still looks nice. We have used similar products from NordicWare for years and ordered them this time for a rehearsal dinner that required plates that wouldn’t break.
