    My favorite spice cake mix by far, I made this with a brown butter glaze and it was addictive.

    The instructions are difficult to read on the box. The light orange background and the white writings do not constrast enough to make reading friendly.

    The coloring of the background and printed word make it difficult to read the directions. I also wondered about the 2 cups of water as a previous reviewer noted when he/she had poor results

    I used the recipe for pumpkin variety and family loved it. will bake again for next holiday season. trying the chocolate this weekend. I have purchase all four flavors and enjoy the recipes on the box for changing up the flavors.

    I followed the directions on the box although two cups of water seemed to be excessive. After 55 to 60 mi…still jiggly at 75 mi I took it out let it rest as it seemed done on the top. I went to invert…the whole bottom imploded in a wet mess. I wasted over an hour and the expensive butter and ended up with a burnt hand and no cake. It smelled great and the inch or two that was baked tasted great. The rest went into the trash. Is there an error in those directions? I’m a very experienced baker having done professional work.
