1. Before initial use and after subsequent uses, hand wash in warm, soapy water.
2. Before each cooking use, season pan with unsalted vegetable shortening.
3. For gas or electric stovetop use, always use moderate heat. Overheating will result in the loss of nonstick performance, as well as discoloration of the pan.
4. Metal utensils, scouring pads and abrasive cleaners should not be used on nonstick surfaces. Nylon or silicone utensils are recommended.
