Honey Vanilla Cakelets

4.3 based on 4 reviews

Create these sweet honey vanilla cakelets to bring your favorite Disney Frozen characters to life! This simple cake recipe showcases the intricate details of Sven, Olaf, Elsa and Anna to make a magical treat to share with Disney Frozen 2 fans.

  • 2/3 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1 cup + 2 Tbsp warm water
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Preheat oven to 350° F. Prepare Disney Frozen 2 Character Cakelet Pan with baking spray containing flour and use a pastry brush to evenly coat the details of the pan.

Using a mixer with a paddle attachment, cream butter and sugar. Blend in honey and vanilla. In a small bowl, mix eggs and water. In a second small bowl, combine flour and salt. Gently stir egg mixture and flour alternately into butter mixture until incorporated. Don’t overmix to avoid air bubbles.

Fill each design with batter, filling only ¾ full. Gently tap pan on towel covered countertop to remove any air bubbles. Bake for 20 – 25 minutes or until edges are lightly brown and center of cakes are firm to touch. Cool cakes in pan for 5 minutes and invert onto a cooling rack. Clean pan and repeat with remaining batter. Makes about 8 cakelets.

    Perfect product!!!
    This is really perfect!
Before using it, I was bit doubt about taking off and shape on the photo.(as many product ) However I could bake exactly same as the photo or even better!!! I totally recommend this!! You will get real 3D Anna and Elsa! With this cakelet!
    Very easy to take off!

I followed the recipe to the letter. The flavor is pleasant, this recipe holds the details of the mold well and the pan releases very easily. But the texture? For me it was a bit like eating sweet Play Dough. Way too dense for my taste, but I will try the pan again with a different recipe.

Moist if a little dense. I thought with a cup of sugar and half cup of honey these cakelets would be overly sweet but they turned out fine. I used the flower cakelet pan and they turned out adorable. I didn’t have spray so I used a brush to butter the nooks and crannies of the pan and then dusted it with flower. The cakelets came out cleanly. I would post a picture if they let me.

This recipe worked perfectly for my Frozen pan! The designs came out beautifully and the cakes tasted great. Plus, they were quick and easy to bake! I served my cakes with some fresh pear preserves, and they were a big hit with my family! I filled my pans maybe a tad less full and ended up with ten cakelets. I will definitely be making this again soon!
