This pressure cooker holds up to 3 pounds of meat or 2 1/2 quarts of liquid. It tenderizes, cooks and seals in flavor for delicious meats and vegetables in 30 minutes or less. Like a slow cooker, except it's fast! Microwave safe.

Directions:
1. Place up to 3 lbs. meat, poultry, or vegetables in Tender Cooker, along with 1/4 cup broth or wine.
2. Cover and set red pressure regulator in place. Cook for about 30 minutes. Let stand for 5 minutes, until yellow pressure stem drops.
3. Remove cover and enjoy the slow-cooked meal that takes just 30 minutes to make!

Care:
1. Before initial use and after subsequent uses, hand wash with warm, soapy water.
2. Do not use under the broiler or on stovetop burners.
3. Dishwasher use is not recommended, as it may discolor or warp the product.
4. Use of metal utensils may scratch the surface of this product and therefore is not recommended.

I love the Tender Cooker! I use it to make a quick vegetable for almost every meal. Have had one for many, many, many years.

Absolutely LOVE this cooker. Acquired my original 30+ years ago after seeing my stepfather using his. I primarily use it for baked potatoes and cooking vegetables in it several times each week. Frozen lima beans, water, salt pork and black pepper cooked for 40 mins is my idea of food heaven. Sure they are a little pricey but what other kitchen cooking device will last approximately 20+ years.? It will be the best purchase you’ll ever make. Guaranteed! Best part is Nordic Ware makes parts available for them.

I have had mine for as long as l can remember! I steam a cauliflower unit then pack meatloaf around it and bake it in the oven. Absolutely delicious!! Could never replace this piece and overjoyed that l found it online!(Everyone wants mine but l’ll never give it up!). Favorite item in my kitchen!!

The best product I have purchased. I bought one for myself, my aunt, and my parents. Cooking results are perfect, beautiful, and tasty. I purchased when it first came out, I think over 20 years ago. I highly recommend, and say it is a must for microwave cooking!

Best for cooking hard meat,I don’t struggle cooking my meat for a very long time which is expensive because i got this awesome utensil.

I use my Tender Cooker when I’m in a hurry to put a meal on the table for my husband and I.

Just to let you know…………recently found this among my Dad’s things…he passed away in 2008….I am 74 years of age and can remember him using this constantly when I was growing up.My husband is anxious to try lentils …as my Dad did….plan to order your recipe book as I returned my Instant Pot…

The Tender Cooker is one amazing product. Multi use, well built, versatile. Wish this product was around when I was in college.

This is the only way I will ever cook most of my vegetables. It is especially good for vegetables like as artichokes, zucchini, and broccoli. It is almost impossible to overcook them. And you don’t have to drown them in water.

I have one for my RV which is great because it’s compact and fast to use the other is for home use which is also great good product thank you

My daughter bought two of these back in the 80’s, one for herself and one as a gift for me. We both love ours and use them almost every day. I was pleased to find another in nearly new shape at our local thrift store for $5…..what a bargain!!! It immediately went into our motor home. These are so perfect for making quick and delicious meals, nothing like the often mushy & tasteless offerings I used to produce quite often in my old fashioned stovetop pressure cooker. The product is made so well made that they still look good after over 20 yrs of use. Only had to replace a little yellow pressure stem and a gasket for sealing. Thank you so much Nordicware for still making this wonderful product and for having replacement parts in stock. I have many other of your microwave products as well and am totally happy with all of them. Keep up the excellent work.

The Tender Cooker is an amazing little dynamo…Pasta, stew, a little casserole… it all comes out better than you expect it to come out. And it works faster in the microwave than my pressure cooker on the stove. Perfect gift for a college kid or a bachelor… I even take it on the road on trips… almost every hotel has a microwave… grab some stuff at the local grocery and pop them together in the microwave… voila

Love this cooker, fast easy to use. Have had 4, now three, 2 that are useable. This is the second cooker the lid came apart, the metal ring and plastic. Stuck together with what looks like silicon sealer. Would like to fix it but don’t know what type of sealer to buy and how to prepare it. Hate to throw it away.

I have used for many types of cooking and always been satisfied. Excellent product.

I think I will be liking the cooker, but would like to see more recipes and ways to use it than are in the booklet that came with it. I have used stove top pressure cookers for decades, not frequently admittedly; and with a smaller household I thought this would be easier to use than hauling out a larger one. I really am not cooking the quantities I used to for a meal. Time info for vegetables, ie winter squash, etc would be appreciated. Can I approximately go by times in my stovetop books? Some tender cooker recipes on your site would be welcome. The barbequed rib recipe is very good!

My dearly departed Mother-in-Law gave me this 30 some odd years ago…Love it to this day! Acquired hers in 2000, but unfortunately gave it away…Will be ordering replacement seal soon. Thanks Nordicware for still providing such quality products!!

I have 2 of them and need some parts ,Valve ,pressure release,gasket.i have looked and cannot find replacement parts.

I received this as a gift when I was single, living in a small attic apartment and it was tough cooking a great meal for one. It did everything the ads said it would do. Roast beef, pork and more done in less than 45 minutes! That was 30 years ago and I am planning to buy a new one. Keep up the great products Nordic Ware.

Everyone should have one

The tender cooker is a quality product and has stood the test of time. I have had it over 20 years and it is almost like new. The only issue is that I hate cleaning up and there is the seal, the weight, the lid with a lot of nooks and the bowl, so I don’t use it as often, as other things. Proper care/cleaning has though probably help to get it to last this long.

My mother has just passed hers on to me. She bought it in England back in the 80’s and has used it often. It’s still works perfectly, although the interior is slightly discoloured now after all these years.

I have owned 4 of these in my life! I love it to pieces. An entire chicken cooks in 25 minutes, and for another 10 minutes, you get a tender roast!

This product is a cooks dream. Using it is simple, and it really cooks everything well. Ribs fall off bone, chicken does the same poching fish is easy as 1,2,3. Nothing I have tried has ever failed in it. ?
