  • Use & Care

    1. Before initial use and after subsequent uses, hand wash with warm, soapy water.

    2. Preheat griddle over medium heat and brush with unsalted vegetable shortening or oil before each use.

    3. Pour 2 Tbsp batter into each cavity and cook until the center bubbles and the edges become golden brown.

    4. Flip each pancake with a non-metal utensil, and continue cooking until toothpick inserted in center of pancakes comes out clean. We recommend wooden skewers or chopsticks, a small silicone spatula or a plastic fork for flipping.

    I have asked for this pan the last two Christmases and this year I finally got it. Came home and used right away. First try was definitely a definitely a learning experience but with each use they've gotten better. The waffles are so unique and they are so much fun to eat.

    The pan works great. There is a learning curve of about one or two waffles to be confident that the waffles are browning. But since it's a nonstick coating you can check and correct. They are great stuffed with berries and whipped cream or plain with dipping sauces or syrup. The finished product is impressive.
