  2. Before each use, brush with solid vegetable shortening and dust with flour or spray with unsalted vegetable shortening with flour in the spray.
  3. Mixes and recipes may vary. Fill the pan no more than 3/4 full to avoid overflow.
  4. Metal utensils, scouring pads and abrasive cleaners should not be used on non-stick surfaces.

Oven Essentials Use and Care

To Prepare:
Before first time use, wash with soapy water. Rinse and dry. Season non-stick surface with unsalted vegetable shortening.
Stove-Top Use:
For gas and electric stoves. Always use moderate heat, as overheating will result in the loss of non-stick performance, as well as cause discoloration of the pan.
Oven Use:
This cookware may be used in gas or electric ovens up to 400˚F (200˚C). Place 6" or more from the broiler element.
Interior:
Nylon, wood or plastic utensils are recommended to prevent scratching of non-stick surface. However, scratches will not interfere with the non-stick quality; only the appearance.
Cleaning:
Thoroughly wash pan in hot, soapy water. Never use harsh abrasives or steel wool. For tough stains, soak and use a scouring pad safe for non-stick surfaces.
