Lemony Cheese Ring
Ingredients:
1 (13-3/4oz.) pkg. hot roll mix2 tbsp. butter or margarine
1 egg
¾ cup warm milk
½ tsp. salt
¼ cup granulated sugar
Filling:
1 cup cream cottage cheese, sieved
¼ cup granulated sugar
1 tbsp. flour
2 tsp. butter or margarine, softened
2 tsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. lemon peel
2 egg yolks, beaten
2 tbsp. raisins
Preparation:
In large bowl, combine warm milk and yeast from package; stir. Beat in egg, sugar, butter or margarine, salt, and hot roll mix. Cover, let rise until double in bulk. Filling: Sieve cottage cheese and add sugar, flour, butter or margarine, lemon juice, peel, egg yolks, and raisins. Roll out dough to form a rectangle about 6x20 inches. Spread with filling and roll. Place in greased Bundt Fancy Loaf Pan pinching ends together. Let rise until pan is 2/3 full. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes or until tests done. Turn out immediately on wire rack to cool.
